My first meet of handmade soap started back in 2007, when I saw a TV program featuring a Taiwanese who made his own handmade soap. This guy moved to countryside, using the herb that grown in his yard and spring water from mountain to make soaps. A few days later after watching the TV program, I found his soap in one of the pharmacy and could not resist to bring one home to try. After which, I fell in love with this brand of handmade soap, and started switching from commercial body shower gel to handmade soap.
As a chemist by training, I know how synthetic chemicals changing our everyday’s life, be it good, or bad. And I still believe that our Mother Nature have provided us a lot of goodness that we can use and utilize. Handmade soap is one of the example of a more natural alternative to commercial soap/shower gel/detergent which is usually made of a lot of synthetic chemicals.
After 12 years first used handmade soap, I appreciate more and more of this wonderful thing. Looking at how the plastic packaging flooded the ocean and landfill, the growing rate of eczema cases due to exposure of some of the chemicals in commercial detergent/shampoo/shower gel, I strongly believe that handmade soap can be the call to alleviate these issues. There is less plastic packaging that is used in soap, there is very minimal synthetic chemicals used in the handmade soap, and there is no harmful chemicals being washed into our sewers.
In year 2019, FanZ soap is founded, with the vision to bring quality handmade soap to reach more consumers, produce less waste to our mother earth and give consumers healthier skin!
